"It is very baffling to see how easily we forget that we need trees and the other life forms it supports.
The mangroves act as buffers against flooding situations and soil erosion. It supports biodiversity and communities that are dependent on the ecosystem services that it provides. Mangroves hold everything together. The artwork here tries to highlight the same. In addition to this, it also induces a sense of nothingness wherever there are no trees or wherever there is no water. A sense of urgency and helplessness runs throughout, be it for the Golden Snapper fish, the Greater Flamingo, the Fiddler Crab, the people of the community, or for even us who are miles away from Mumbai's Mangroves."
