"Innumerable limbs reaching up to the sky
Seemingly confused limbs digging into the marshy lye
A dense, tangled mess above and beneath
A cooling green breath between the sea and the concrete
It absorbs all of the city's soot and sin
Oxygen breathed out and carbon stored safely deep within
The knotted mesh breaks the dangerous flow
Protects the concrete's edges from drowning below
Diverse beings call this very mess their precious home
The marshes shelter little lives until they are fully grown
Our only defence against the Climate Change outcry
They aren't so much a mess as they are true Guardians of Mumbai"
